LOAN CONVERSION
FLOOD OF APPLICATIONS. (Unitod Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, July 28. Another flood of applications for the conversion of war loan stock was received by’the Bank of England yesterday, totalling 74,000 applications. Yet Continental holders of war loans continue to convert freely. The conversion scheme has provided a windfall for the stockbrokers and the solicitors, who, besides the banks are entitled to get .a commission as agents, in converting for clients. ■ It is expected that the commission that will he paid by the Government will total three millions.
