A MIRACULOUS ESCAPE. , ( BRISBANE, July 26 A t A member of the Queensland Aero Club had a remarkable escape when the ’plane lm was piloting "crashed from about 150 feet into a paddock. The 4 pilot escaped with abrasions, but his machine was hopelessly wrecked. WANT COAL FREIGHTS CUT. ■SYDNEY, July 26. Deputations of coal owners from northern, wa-tern and southern districts asked the Premier, Mr Stevens, for a permanent reduction in the railway freights on coa!. The Government was asked to bring the freights down to the 1920 basis. The Premier promised to consider the request.
