LADIES’ GOLF CLUB Miss J. .Houston .has, by playing a score of 88 last Wednesday qualified as a senior L.G.U. player. In connection with the “hole in one’ ’ performed- by Mrs Wilson last Wednesday, it was stated that Mrs Wilsonwas the first lady player in the Club to perform this feat. This -however, it has since been discovered, was not correct. Some years ago Mi's W. Staveley, then a. member of the Cliibj performed the same feat at-the, same hole,. The Top Knot. This is course, in-no way detracts from Mrs Wilsdn’s' achievement. The Ladies’ Committee of the Golf Club has decided to Hand over ' the proceeds of Saturday’s afternoon tea to the local Unemployment Relief Fund, the amount being £l/11/-.
