FOR MISSING LAUNCH

NAPIER, July 20
No definite news ha.s been heard of the launch Advance since her departure for Wanganui on July 5, with a crew comprising Mr G. Howell, of Napier, and Messrs F. .Cbeeseman and R. Pembro, of Wanganui. ; Search has been conducted by two (planes from the Hawke’s Bay Aero Club, as well as' by machines from Wellingtorry' and has extended some distance out to sea, as well as dose inshore. The search has now been abandoned.
The belief is now general that the Advance was blown to sea. Fully prepared for, the trip from Napier to. Wanganui, the crew had a week’s provisions. The Napier y member of the party, Mr Howell, is a single rtian, aged about thirty.
