SYDNEY, July 20. At the mechanical hare inquiry today, John Felix-Booth, the business adviser to Anthony Hordern, gave evidence that he liaci advised Hordern to buy large parcels of Greyhound Coursing Company .shares from “Judge” Swindell. On one occasion, said’ witness, . he paid Swindell four thousand pounds in not 73, Swindell specially asking for cash. " ’•'
Booth also stated that Swindell -was to be paid £7y')oo.'for )is getting up the articles of association. The Commissioner: “Do you expect me. to believe that was why Swindell was to receive that money r'” f '
Booth': .“No 18. ’'' " The Commissioner reminded (Bbbtl that he was oil oath, and warned hin to be careful.

Mr Monahan: “Now,wasn’t it the price of the licenser” Booth: “Yes—and we got it!”
Mr Monahan:- “What did Swindell sav in demanding the £7,500 f” Booth : “He said, T want Jt for “service.”.’ r ,-;
J. Muirbead. Secretary, of the Greyhound Coursing Association, said that Judge Swindell was appointed managing director of . that Association. without his having the necessary shareholding qualification.' ; - The hearing was adjourned.
