A statement issued by the chairman of the importers’ section of the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce states that the section regard? with considerable apprehension the vigorous attempts that are being made to force up the rate of exchange, tints depreciating Australian currency, with the consequent inducement 1 to inflation.
