REFUSAL TO MEET DELEGATION

In spite of a statement' to the contrary, in the city td-day, the acting Minister of Employment, Hon. Mr Hamilton, denied that any arrangements had been made by him to receive a deputation from the Wellington Unemployed Relief Workers’ tomorrow.

It' was stated among a section of the Wellington reiliuf workers tp-d'ay that a demonstration had been arranged to-day, and that it was intended to wait upon the Minister, as well as jother members of tins Unemployment Board.

When questioned upon the point, the Minister said that no arrangements whatever had been made for a deputation. Before a deputation can wait upon a Minister of the Crown, arrangements must bo made accordingly, and unless they are made,-no deputation will be received. ■ - ’
