LONDON, July 15. An alarming increase of roa.d accidents which totalled over 2000 last year, has led to the appointment of a great national committee to investigate the causes. It, will meet the Ministry of Transport on 19th July. The committee consists of representatives of Automobile Associations, cyclists,pedestrians,, motor manufacturers, omnibus owners, lighting engineers, transport and general workers and other unions.

The Safety First Association is sponsoring the inquiry. It considers there should be more severe penalties for dangerous driving. , ,
