Mental Hospital Dr Robert Lisle Christie, was killed in a motor accident in Ngahauranga Gorge near JohnsonviMe. A car in which he ahd other passengers were traveling, left the road hear the summit of the Gorge, arid crashed fifteen or twenty feet down a steep-bank coming to rest upside : down'in a creek. ■ /■:' .
