Tvlr Hoover’s veto on the 21,000,000 dollars Unemployment Relief Bill on the grounds that it “violates every sounu principal of public finance and Government,’’ nppoared to-night to lnue cleared the way , for the immediate passage of relief legislation acceptable '.both to Congress and to the Administration.

The Senate and House leaders agreed in a confernce on plans to introduce a, new measure to-morrow, expecting the passage wthin a few hours. They hope to place before the President in .three days a- new Bill cimilar to the one vetoed, except that it will not authorise loans to individuals and private industries, which proved objectionable to Mr Hoover. A B'ill drafted in * accordance with President Hoover’s. recommendation, was approved by the House of Ways and Means Committee. Tho Bill has been modified in such a way as to meet some of President Hoover’s objections, and in this form it was passed by the Senate on Tuesday 1 night. It will be considered by the House of Representatives on Wed nesclay Its adoption will clear the way 'for the adjournment of a long session of Congress.
