1. —The Chairman to move: “That the accounts for the month of June, 1932, as revised and recommended for paytut by, .the 1 . Finance Committee, amounting to £-— ; f be passed for payment. • . , ' 2. The Chairman to move: “That the Council do now make ancl levy, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 48-55, of tlie Rating Act; 1908, and its amendments, an.j Sections , 120-21 of the Counties Act, 1920, a general rate as follows: , ' (a) four farthings, in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Northern Riding of the County of Westland. ■ ■

(b) four farthings in tlie £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Central Riding of the- County of Westland.

(c) four farthings in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property ‘the Southern Riding of the County of Westland. - “Such genera] rate to be for the period commenced on the Ist. day of. April, 1932, and ending on the 31st.. day of March, 1933, and to become due and payable in one sum on theJuly, 1932, at the office of the Westland ‘CountA Council, Hokitika.” 3.—The Chairman to move: “That pursuant to the provisions of the Rating Act and its Amendments, a rebate of five per centum be allowed on the foregoing rates paid by the 16th; day of August. 1932, but not later.”

4.—Or. Donovan to move: “That Overseer Millner be asked to prepare plans and specifications, for necessary improvements to Purcell’s road, Matainui, and tenders he invited for the work without delay.”
