NEW PLYMOUTH, July 3.

Three persons, Mr and Mrs Oswald Stephens and their son, aged 7; wer'e injured in a eol'lision between a motor oaran’d two tr, a means yesterday. The ear Mr-Stephens was driving came >out of the street on to the tram route;: ;

.In.'endeavouring to avoid one tram- ; ear } Stephens struck it slightly, and thejn b'e crashed liead-on into -another tram going in the'opposite dlr- , ection. The motor car was seriously ..damaged. Mrs Stephens has a serious scalp wound, the scalp having been cut by gjl'asis almost from ear to ear, but hler condition is not dangerous.

Stephens was cut about the legs and bead, and the boy has outs about the head and body. Neither is seriously' hurt. '
