France is taking heroic measures to meet her deficit. Th-e Treasury must find £81,000,000. The Government proposals provide for a reduction of expenditure by .thirty-one millions, and increased taxation by £19,000,090. The Army,9 Navy and. Air Force expenditure will also- be reduced by a -similar figure to £19,C00,(T0.
