SPREADING OF PAYMENTS. WELLINGTON, June 29. It was announced by the Prime Minister to-day that arrangements were now completed for th 6 sale of income tax certificates by Money 'Order Offices under provision made in the Finance Act last session, enabling income tax payers to spread their payments of income tax instead of, paying a iump sum on the due date'. ■Section 53 of the Financ 6 Act, 1932, enables lany taxpayer to make payments in advance on .account of income
tax ’and to receive interest on multiples of £1 for complete months at such a i rate and up to the end of such a month as may determined by th 6 Minister of Finance. Mr Forbes states that interest is be-
ing allowed for complete months up to
the end of January at the rate of 3| per cent, by way of discount. Forms are now being distributed to Money ■Order Offices throughout the Dominion, and 'Certificates wtlPbe on saie at all places on July 1.
