» FOR INDECENT PUBLICATION. (Per Press Association— Copyright.) AUCKLAND, June 30. Decision was given to-day in the case of Arthur Cleave, charged with printing an indecent document, an illustrated advertisement, relating to a contraceptive. The Magistrate, Mr Hunt, said that he was of the opinion that the advertisement clearly came l within the section ol the law relating to indecent publications. Counsel had referred to the usual modern arguments .about birth control, but the section of the Act still stood. Publishers should read the Act carefully in tile- future when prosecutions and fines would be- heavier. 'A fine of £lO and costs was imposed.
