A FROST. (Per Press Association— Copyright.) CARTERTON, June 30. Seven point five degrees of frost were registered at Carterton last night. STOLEN SAFE RECOVERED. CHRISTCHURCH, June 29. The thieves who broke into the plumber’s i-hop of Daim' Bros., at the corner of Chester Street and Oxford Terrace on Monday night got nothing for their trouble. The safe, which was taken bodily from the office of the premises, was recovered intact by an employee of the linn .last evening.
