CARTERTON, June 30,
South Wairarapa Trotting Club at a special meeting at Greytown • last night, decided to disband in order to re-organise. After the last meeting a severe loss was experienced and application was made for the full two and a half peir cent, totalisator tax rebate, which was granted. After payments of various accounts, the Club has £33 left with which to pay the Carterton Racing Club £lO6. There is some £3O still owing to tinTrotting Club in outstanding fees. It was decided to take steps to get these in, and non-payers will be posted. The position now is that all Club officers, including the Secretary, are out of office but the Secretary intimated bis willingness to carry on till next meeting without pay, and foregoing the present month’s salary in the interests of the Club. The next meeting, to re-organise the Club will be bold in the last Wednesday in July. Meantime a vigorous canvass of the district for members will be carried out. The prospects for the re-organisation are considered bright.
