The All Blacks completely overwhelmed Newcastle at the Sports Ground there this afternoon, in the I second match of the tour, winning by i 44 points to six. The teams were as | follows : | Newcastle: T. Hills; Rose, J. Hills, Hinkston, /Jaynes; fo V. McNamara; Rutherford; Tobin, Champion, Parbtiry, G. McNamara, Deglorion, Bland, McDonald and Holley." New Zealand: Lilburne; Caughey, Holder, Proctor; Tunes, Page; Comer; Hore, Jessep, Palmer, Max, Clarke, Steere, Manchester and Barry. Caughey replaced Bullock-Douglas at. the last minute in the visiting team. The local team put up a fair showing in the first half, but they were absolutely powerless to stop the onslaught of the visitors in the second period. Holder, Page, Proctor and Manchester were the most outstanding players on the visiting side, the big forfvitrd Manchester being everywhere after the ball. ; Both Pago and Holder failed at goalkicking. :■ : : The game was played in real football weather. The ground was soft, following rain. Newcastle won the toss. Holder scored a try within one minute of the start.
