CHRISTCHURCH, June 25
A loss on the year’s! working of £5497 3s Id is recorded in the annual report of the New Zealand Metiopolitan Trotting Chib. The amount of stakes distributed during the year wa s £28,200. The main items of expenditure were: Stakes £28.200; Government taxes, £13,752 0s Id ; salaries, £1747 10s ; race meetings, £2BOO 9s 4d; repairs and maintenance, £983 14s 6d; ndveitising, printing and stationery, £966 2s 7d; totalling £55,264 ss.
