PETROL STOLEN
FROM PUMPS IN* WELLINGTON. (Per Press Association— Copyright.) WIOLV.iIXGTON, June 27. With unusual audacity, thieves burst the locks of two petrol pumps in the city and stole. 134 V gallons of petrol on Saturday afternoon, or evening. The pumps, which were owned by Magnus Motors, were situated in a lino off Manners St, beside the Grand Opera Mouse. The locks of two pumps were found by the nightwatchjnau broken, and the fact that a large f|uautity of petrol had been stolen was goon discovered. The lock of the third pump was not tampered with. The attendant locked the pumps at noon, and fthen, until t-l'e thelt; was discovered, a total of 134} gaU | lons.of spirit passed through the tubes.
