THE NEW ZEALAND UNION. OPPOSED TO REPLACEMENTS. (Per. Press Association — Copyright.) WELLINGTON, June 24. Mr Dean, Chairman of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby -Union, stated to-day that following on communications with the Rugby Union in England, tha replacement of injured players in future will not be permitted in Rugby games in New Zealand, or in matches in which New Zealand teams play, including the present Australian tour. SUPPORT FROM SYDNEY. SYDNEY, June 24. In response to a cablegram from New Zealand to-day, the New South Wales Rugby Union agreed that there shall not be any replacements of injured players in to-morrow’s match.
