WELLINGTON, June 26. Mr T. Makitanara M.P. for South- f > ern Maori, died at Levin at eleven o’clock last night. Deceased entered Parliament in 1928 as a nominee of the United Party. He was again returned in December last as a supporter of

Coalition. Mr Makitanara has been in ill health for some time past.
