WELLINGTON, June 23

The final Ooncilliation Council proceedings in the dispute affecting the workers in the motor construction industry throughout the Dominion faded to-day. The Commission will give formal notice to the Clerk of Awards, and the award in the industry will then lapse, in accordance with the amended Act of lust session.

CHIEF ENGINEER OVERBOARD, AUCKLAND, June 24.

The chief engineer of tlfe motor ship Zealand ic was lost overboard near Panama on the voyage to Auckland. The engineer, whose name is Harry Stevenson, 43 yea ns of age. was last seen at midnight, on June 2nd. Next morning, his cabin was found empty. The weather was calm at the time.
