It was announced to-day by oho Minister of Employment, Right Hon Mr Coates, that Cabinet has approved of the release for Wellington C‘ty unemployment relief purposes of the balance of £13,000, unexpended from \ a loan that was previously authorised for the Sydney S:reet Cemetery western access road. i * am. in a qo Mr Coates said that this act’on would be validated by legislation next set'-' sion.

In connection with the new provision to meet the needs of unemployed outside the four main centres, it is announced (that the amount being provided is £16,000 per week during the winter months,
At the expiration of that period the situation will be reviewed.
