STRUCK BY TRAIN
CYCLIST SERIOUSLY INJURED. CHRISTCHURCH, June 16. ' Struck by a train on the railway-line at Stewart’s 'Gully this morning, a young man, Gordon Davey, of Kaiapod, aged 26, was severely injured. His left leg was fractured and his face cut and grazed. He was suffering from shock when admitted to tile Christie, hurch Ho spit 41, land his condition is reported to bie serious. According to i report Davey is believed to have been riding his bicycle on the line approaching 'Stewart’s Gully fom Kaiapoi, when the aecident happened!' He was hit Icy the train and thrown to the side' of the lino. Davey was picked up Icy surfacemen and taken to Kaiapoi.
