The -English Rugby League team suf•fared the first defeat of tlie tour today, when they met Brisbane. ; Tackling, passing and kicking like .champions, the Brisbane team held the visitors with the scores fifteen all, when a last minute .scor e by, Jones clinched a win for them by 18 points to 15. For Bit-bane, Park, Neumann (2), and Jones scored tries, and Lockie kicked two goals, and »«gaiv«r<hWwd' one goal. For England, F-Ilaby, Woods and Davies scored' tries, and Hodgson kicked fln-ee goals.
