Parker (Ross), but the matter was referred back to the club for further particulars. A suggestion that the selection of referees to control matches on Saturday he left in tho hands of the SubUnion was vetoed in favour of the present system of the appointment being made bv tho Referees’ Association.

Mr Menzies reported that he could arrange for the visit of three Greymouth school teams to Hokitika, the primary and secondary fifteens to play in tile morning, and the Hokitika first fifteen to play Greymouth Technical School as the curtain raiser to the Dittman Shield match; It was decided that this arrangement be adopted. Tho following matches for Saturday were drawn up: — Seniors.- Rimu v. Ross, at Ross (E. M. Rest); Kiwi v. Rivals, Ca,ss Square’ (D. Heenan): Excelsior a bye. .Juniors,—Ross v.
