MINISTERIAL TOUR
MR HAMILTON’S BUSY TIME,

GISBORNE, May 30
Hon. A. Hamilton (Minister of Internal Affairs) who, accompanied by Mr K. S. Wiliams, M.P., for Ray of Plenty, left Gisborne on Saturday for the East C'oa s t, spent a strenuous day today in the back-blocks, The Minister reached Teararoa this morning from Ruatoria, and, accompanied by a party of settlers, set out for the back country, making a thorough inspection of land, listening to settlers’ experiences, 6 bo. The Minister’s practical knowledge of farming favourably' impressed the settlers. The party returned to Teararoa. this evening, where the Minister inquired into the, rating and financial troubles of the Matakaoa County Council. The Minister leaves for Ruatoria to-morrow morning. He expects to return to Gisborne on Wednesday.
