treasury SECRETARY going
I liy Telegraph—Per Frets Association J
WELLINGTON, May 28,
Although no consideration has yet been given by Cabinet to the personnel of the staff to accompany the Ottawa Conference delegation, 'Mr Forbes stated that it was very likely that the Secretary of the Treasury, Mr Park, will be one of those selected. It was important that the Treasury -should be represented at the Conference, as it was expected that the subjects of exchange and currency and price level would come up for discussion. Apart from that, it was some years since a Treasury official had had an opportunity to go abroad and obtain first .hand information concerning matters which directly affected the finance of the Dominion. The necessity for such contact was more necessary now, perhaps than ever, because of the serious economic changes of the last two or three years.
