LONDON, May 26. Sir H. Samuel announced in the House of L’ommoiiis that the King had approved the appointment of a Royal Commission io inquire into the exiting law, and the practice thereunder, relating to i ! ottei’es, betting, gambling, and cognate matters, and to report wliat changes, if any, are <l°sirablc ami practicable. Sir Sidney Rowlatt, King's Counsel, will bo chairman of the Commission, which consists of ten ' men ami two women member.*.
