In definitely pledged votes to be cast three weeks hence at the Republican National Convention, Mr Hoover holds a strengthened promise for renoinination. This mark, 578 was passed when Texas yesterday instructed its 49 delegates to vote lor him, bringing his assured votes to 021 and tlie total claimed for him (but disputed by Joseph I. France, a irival candidate) to 1041. There are 1154 votes in the Convention.
