LADY BLEDISLOE’S GIFT

It, was announced at the general meeting of the N.Z. Lawn Tennis Association to-night tliat- Lady Bledisloe hud presented a handsome silver cup for the New Zca’and Ladies’ Championship Singles. Mr M. E. Deniuston (chairman of the Management Committee) .said file cup would take the* place of fho present trophy, which now was neld together partly with lead and s-ohlcr. The new cup wouhl bear the names of all the previous winners. The meeting adopted the Committee's annual report, at. the same time approving of the postponement of the junior hard court championships. The Wellington Association, the report said, laid been approached regarding the Mudding of (lie New Zealand chaimpionship tournament, but this olios*. : oii of dates had not yet been considered.
