AIR MAIL SERVICE
AUSTRALIA TO ENGLAND. DISCUSSING PROPOSALS.* (Australian Press Association.) MELBOURNE, May 23,
Discussing the possibility of establishing an air mail srvice to England, representatives of three of the large aviation companies in Australia resumed on Saturday morning a conference wliich was adjourned two months ago. They were Mr C. T. P. Uhn (Australian National Airways, Ltd.), Mr Hudson Fysh (Queensland and Nor tic ern Territory "Aferial Services), and Major N. Broarley (Western Airways, Ltd.) Jjfc is understood that it was proposed to lprepare ; a’plan for an air mail service to England, in which these til ee' companies would pool their resources on a basis to be the subject of negotiation. Part of the plan was that the Commonwealth Government should be requested to divert part of the whole of the subsidy it now pays to Western Australian Airways and Quantas. It is expected that this week the negotiations will be continued with the object of approaching the Commonwealth Government with a definite proposal onthose lines.-
