NEW YORK, May 21
A nrssage from San (Salvador, South America, states that a violent earthquake rucked the west coast of Central America to-day. . It killed iin undetermined number ol perkoi;.-:. besidets causing great loss of property.
The bodies of six persons have been recovered from the ruins in Zaeetecpluca sixt-.v-live miles south-west of San. Salvador. Olliers were injured. The shock liars crippled the lines of coiniminienlibii, and lias prevented the receipt of reports from other parts of the country.
Fear is felt for San Vincente, which is beUeved to have suffered the severest effects of the earthquake. The earthquake shook the three republics of El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. Tho shock lasted for throe minutes.
