Ml Black selectors, E. McKenzie and A. McDonald, will have to. search for a new middo-row man for the team to visit Australia- this year if E. R. G. Steere —New Zealand lock in 11129, 1930, and 1931—does not shortly return to the field of play. A lew weeks ago Steere suffered an attack of jaundice-; and he has not- yet played in club; Rugby, this.-;year, although the scashn in HaWkeks Bay is four weeks advanced. His illness has set him hack ■ severely, and unless he turns out impre-stsively before May 28 lie will not he among nominees for the North v.
