DEBTS AND ARMS

NOT ALTERED BY ELECTION
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copy-rig*" 1 -.)
PARIS, May 18,
M. Herriot, in an exclusive interview with the British .United Press, declared that no reduction of Germany’s reparations' payments ’ was passible umyss America and Britain agreed to make equivalent reductions in the war debt payments to be made to them.
With regard to arguments, he emphasised that any reduction was dependent on security. He urged the organisation of an international armed force. There thus appears to be no change in France’s attitude on these two vital issues.
