WELLINGTON. May 15. Mr Coates makes the. following official statement in regard to the Dannevirke telegram as to the unemployment relief scheme: “The revised sea es and conditions of relief will not he confined to the city areas, nor, on the . other hand, will they be rapidly and uniformly applied to all parts of the Dominion. It is hoped that every-, where the stand-down week will be -li min a ted, but the form in whic-li the available Wds are dispensed is a matter to be determined in each area according to local requirements.
