On Saturday, the film actor, Charlie Chaplin was accorded a tremendous reception at the Tokyo railway station. Despite the greatest precautions being taken to control the crowds and the mobilisation of hundreds of police, the people overwhelmed them both at the station, and at his hotel, and disorderly scenes were created by those determined to see the comedian,
