BIG BEER PARADE
NEW YORK DEMONSTRATION,

NEW YORK, May 14
A procession in excess of 2o,'OCQ pe. 1 - sons headed by Mayor Walker, marched in a parade here to-day, which lasted ior twelve hours. The marchers were bearing placards: “We want beer!” and recounting the benefits that the nation’s finance, both private and public, that would be. derived from it, including 500 million dollars in annual revenue and federal excis§ tax alone. Many of the organised groups in the city’s life, including the Tammany Society, are participating.
It is estimated that a million persons lined the streets, through which the paraders inarched.
