FINNISH VESSEL DISMASTED

After a terrific struggle against fierce. storms, and being at the mercy of wind and current for eighteen days the dismasted Finnish barque, Hougomont, with twenty-four men aboard, anchred about seven miles from Semaphore. The voyage from London lasted 129 days. The stonn, which disabled the vessel, occurred on April 20, when 540 miles from Cape Borda. The storm, according to the captain, was of indescribably fury, and the worst he had ever encountered.
The vessel was sXvept from end to end.
