GERMAN PLAN
TO RAISE BIG LABOUR LOAN. TO RELIEVE UNEMPLOYMENT

BERLIN, May 8.
Reiehsrat has approved of, and determined upon an attempt to reduce the number of the unemployed in Germany by means ,of a big Labour loan, which the Reichstag will consider on Monday. The money will he used for land improvement, settlement and public works.
The yield of interest to the subscribers to the loan will be 4-J- per cent., but the loan will be attractive, .because it will be exempt from taxn-
£ tion. There will be no limit to the total amount. 1
Meanwhile, well-known German en-
terprises continue to close clown, in-
eluding the famous Amber Works at r-ipalrnknicker, in East Prussia, which since 1925 have made , a vain effort to keep going. The Junkers Aeroplane Works at Dessau is also being closed.
