The Norwegian tanker “Bisea,” long overdue from Adelaide, limped ino San Pedro harbour to-day. Captain Warholiu said the loss of two propeller' blades early <n the voyage caused the delay. She will undergo repairs here
DRY ROT RAVAGES
IN WELL KNOWN MANSION
LONDON, May 8
Chequers, the well known mansion has »beeu temporarily closed, owing to a danger of the roof collapsing through the ravages of death watch beetle' and dry rot in both centuries old beams, and more recent pannelling. Renovations are being made as far as possible with steel and concrete.
