AUCKLAND, May 9. An unexpected sequel to the Palmerston North murder trial was the appearance in the Police Court to-daj of Norman Robert Decke, who is serving a. life sentence for the shooting oi Edwin John Blakeway. Decke was charged with obtaining a rifle from N. P. Hansen without a permit, and also with having an unregistered firearm. He pleaded not guilty. Detective-Sergeant Doyle, who parti,(jipated in t/lie investigations wlu'nli le| to Decke’s arrest, gave tormal evi. deuce, and .said that the object o! these proceedings was to have the rifle confiscated, as accused’s father was affxious to obtain it
