A very large meeting of the Wellington * Tramway Employees Union yesterday .adopted a resolution that the Union was opposed to the conditions and wages bpeiating in tic unemplowment camps, and declaring the camps “black.” A rumour is current that tramway men were enrolled as “special ’ constables, and .a formal resolution was placed on record that members of the Union were not enrolled and were not contemplating enroment as “specials”, and that, by a unanimous vote, such duties conk not ho performed hvthmm
