FEDERAL MOVE
ON N.S.W FUNDS NEW MEASURE INTRODUCED. (Australian Press Association.) CANBE.RBA, April 2t. The railway and tramway revenue througrout New South Wales is being attacked by the Commonwealth under a bill to amend the Financial Agreement Enforcement Act. Tim Bill was introduced by the Prime Minister, Mr Lyons, and passed, in the Federal House today. The New South Wales railway officials, who are now using railway monies for the payment of salaries, wages and other outgoings will be required to hand over to the Commonwealth tho whole of their receipts. Similarly the tramway officials will have to hand over the monies they use in the same way. The Bid also compels the New South Wales Premier to continue the licenses for the totalizators, the revenue from which, will be attached. JDtespile anything that Mr Lang may do, the Prime Minister .said, the Government was determined to fight in order to preserve tho good name of Australia. Mr Lang now owed the Commonwealth £2,225,000. while, if he decided also to default on the internal interest of New South Wales, the total owing at the end of next June would be five, and three quarter millions.

LABOUR SUPPORT FOR LANG
SYDNEY, April 27. Tn tlm New South Wales Legislative Assembly to-day a Supply Bill for £2,075,000 covering tho Government services for May was passed through all stages. The Opposition members attacked the Lang administration vehemently, challenging the Ministry to go to the people. Labour members declared that they were standing behind Air Lang to a man.

The leader of the State Parliamentary Country Party, Mr Button shaw, has resigned, after holding the position for six years. Mr Bruxner will succeed him.

The Itouso of UoprwHjntoUvw passed the amended Financial Agree* ment Enforcement Bill through all stages by votes to 13. The Bill will he passed by the Senate as an urgent measure to-day!. It is more drastic than the original measure and covers up all the loopholes for Mr Lang evading its enforcement.
■The Oommon wejilth proposes to attach the whole revenue of New South Wales, and probably seize money now held in the Treasury vaults. The New South Wales members of the United Country Party waited on Mr Lyons, and urged the Ministry to proceed without delay to compel the New South Wales Government to carry out its obligations. Doctor Earle Page announced that his party was solidly behind the Government, and added that, unless something happened to correct the position in New South AY ales, the whole of Australia would ho involved in a general crash.
