' The Trade Treaty between Canada and New Zealand will be signed tonight. (not during the week-end, as nidi cited in an earlier message), according to a statement by the Premier today, and the Customs resolution to give effect to the agreement, will be introduced and passed by the House to-morrow.
The full terms will be disclosed in the House simultaneously with a similar action in the Canadian House of Commons. The duty on New Zealand batter will lie at the rate of five cents a pound, similar 'to Australian butter entering Canada. Canadian manufactured goods will be able to enter New Zealand under more favourable terms thru previously, and items, which were alfeeted by retaliatory measures taken I.i-l: year. will he restored to the British tariff schedule.
Thi-s relates to motor-cars, which are subject to slight modifications, goveri:ii,jr qhc proportion of Canadian "'(.:•% manship, and would then be permittee to enter New Zealand as previously.
