PADDY’S MARKET
The Soldiers’ Hall on Saturday afternoon was a busy scene when a Paddy’s Market was held under the auspices of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. Generous donors, especially in the Kokatahi-lvoitcrangi valley enabled a fine display to be made, ..of lamb, poultry, vegetables etc., which met with ready galo, A cake stall; sweets stall and afternoon tea room all added to the funds, A special feature was a display of work dene by tht) Woman’s Institute that formed the subject of much interest throughout the afternoon while the'r stall for the sale of articles also did a ready trade.
Altogether the sale proved a very satisfactory one to* .all concerned and will add a substantial sum to the Unemployment fund, the takings amounting to over £.30.
