At the Caulfield races yesterday the chief event, the Glenhuntly Handicap resulted : King Mart. 9-2 (Webster) 1 : Thrown 7.2 (Smith) 2; Romaney Rye 7.5 (Wilson) 3. Twenty-one started, including Waterline and Vertigorn. Won by half a head; a neck. Time 2.10.

Jockey J. Munro, was suspended for careless riding at the Moorfiel ( ] race meeting yesterday.
HORSE’S SPURT AT WHISTLE
LONDON, April 16
For the third time recently, one of Air Boyd-Davis's horses won a race as n result of a spurt on hearing the trainer's whistle. There was an unpv •econdented scene at Derby when Siguilier spurted. The crowd joined the owner in the whistling. The “Daily Telegraph” says .that never has a winner had such an extraordinary reception.
