POLICE MISS MAN
MANY IMPORTANT CLUES FOUND. (Australian Association.) SYDNEY, April 17. The man wanted by the polite for tin- Liverpool murders had another e.ose rail on Friday afternoon, although tile fact ou.v became known vest Idi r.-. A woman living in the locality saw a man rise to his feet alter the police passed. He beat a hasty retreat. She thought him only a casual dosser, and she failed to report the matter until yesterday. The police then returned to the s'pot' and they made an important discovery, consisting of an overcoat spread on the ground, a chaff bag containing n. gun, the stock of which was spit, and was showing stains like, blood; also jewels, trinkets and a girl’s watch similar tu that worn by the late, Miss Denzel before she was murdered. There were in addition two rings, a blood-stained bandage, portions of a rug. and also portions of a mail’s clothing which are thought to he Wilkinson’s.
