Fruit vendor, a former theatrical wardrobe master, and a. master of make-up, Eric Walter Sonter, of Lynd-hii-rst street, Glebe, sought an orcior at the Central Summons- Court today for the delivery oi two £2O New Zealand banknotes, in tbe custody of Detective Burns, to the rightful own-

James Martin Samson, of Dunedin, New Zealand (owner of the racehorse Admiral Drake) said he arrived in Sydney on March Bth. and cashed some notes, keeping othews. He last saw these notes in March 10th., when he placed them in his inside vest pocket. Subsequently he discovered that some of the notes were missing, including New Zealand notes and £IOO in AulstqaHan notes. The two £2O mites wore among those he had on March 10th.

Sonter said that on March loth, a car pulled up in front of his fruitstall in Railway square, and a man got put and asked him - to change a ,-£2O; New, ZeijhiiLd. v .uote. stranger took two packets of cigarettes, and Sonter gave him the change. The following (lay the man brought 2s worth of fruit and was given the change of another £2O New Zealand banknote.

Sonter took the notes without any knowledge that they had been lost or stolen

Alv William I ,s, S.M-, ordered that the banknotes be delivered to Sonter, he being the rightful owner.
